The number of private universities in Nigeria is growing every year. This increase is related to the fierce competition for the quality of education available in the country. While public universities continue to maintain a high level of education, private universities in Nigeria are offering quality too. The only one disadvantage of the private education system in the country is exorbitant fees that are not available to everyone. 1. American University of Nigeria in Yola. It is the most expensive private university in Nigeria. Amount of school fees is 1,590,000 NGN.
2. Achievers University. This university is located in Owo, South-West Nigeria. By comparing private universities in Nigeria and their school fees, Achievers University more cost-effective than others. You need to pay 420, 000 NGN. 
3. Babcock University. It is one of the oldest private university in Nigeria that was established in 1999 and located in Ilishan-Remo. Amount of school fees varies from 620,000 NGN to 3,000,000 NGN. 
4. Bowen University in Iwo. This university was founded in 2002 by Nigerian Baptist Convention. Amount of school fees is 700,000 NGN. 
5. Redeemer’s University. The school is located in Redemption city. You need to pay 605,000 NGN for Natural Sciense; 545,000 NGN for Humanities; 575,000 NGN for Management Science. 
6. Caritas University. Caritas Uni is located in Enugu. Amount of school fees varies from 248,000 NGN to 398,000 NGN for Management and Social Sciencies; from 298,000 NGN to 450,000 NGN for Faculty of Engineering; from 248,000 NGN to 398,000 NGN for Natural Sciencies. 
7. Gregory University. This university was established in 2012 in Uturu. Tuition fees depend on department: Social Sciencies: 420,000 NGN, Medical courses: 600,000 NGN, Engineering courses: 500,000 NGN. 
8. Benson Idahosa University. BIU was founded in 2002 and named after the popular Christian evangelist. School fees: 500,000 NGN. 
9. Caleb University. School fees: 505,000 NGN 
10. Chrisland University. It is one of the youngest private university in Nigeria that was established in 2015 and is located in Olabisi. School fees: 405,000 NGN.
11. Igbinedion University. The school is situated in Okada. It is also one of the oldest private university in Nigeria that was established in 1999. School fees: 643,000 NGN.
