Pray for people in authority, Vice President urges Christians

Nigerian Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo has urged Christians in the country to continue to pray for people in authority.
He was speaking at the Good Tidings Bible Church International, in Abuja.
Prof. Osinbajo said that through continuous prayers, Nigeria would transformed beyond expectations.
“I believe that everything that happens is as a result of grace but when christians pray for those in power and for Nigeria, Nigeria will transform more than the enemy expects,” the Vice President added.
The Vice President based his teaching on 1st Timothy Chapter 2,verse 1 and 2,which says “ I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.”
The senior pastor of Good Tidings Bible Church International, Dayo Olutayo, said that God has plans for Nigeria.
He added that with Osinbajo in the highest place in the country, Nigeria would be better than expected.
