EFCC Storm Ekiti SUBEB Over N4b Contracts Scam

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission [EFCC] have stormed the Universal Basic Education Board [SUBEB] office in Ado-Ekiti,  Ekiti State, over N4 billion contracts scam allegedly perpetrated by Governor Kayode Fayemi’s government.

According to reports available to ElombahNews, “the operatives are interrogating the staff but they have fenced-off the contractors who are ready to tell EFCC the truth on how they were sold the jobs and paid 35% of the contracts sum into personal accounts.”

A source close to the Ekiti State government said that a company, BJEG, which was allegedly used as front by Fayemi’s Chief of Staff and SSG, got over 30 jobs and paid 35% into a single account.

“Upon assuming office as SUBEB chairman, Prof Francisca Aladejana had rushed to petition the EFCC and UBEC on the contracts scam, thinking that it was the immediate past govt of [Governor Ayo] Fayose that perpetrated it,” the source added.
