Ekiti State government has commiserated with the family of the late Mrs Catherine Ogunsakin who passed on Thursday.
Mrs Ogunsakin was until her death a Commissioner in the State’s Teaching Service Commission.
The Secretary to the State Government, Hon Biodun Oyebanji, who led a delegation of top government officials on a condolence visit to the family house in Ado-Ekiti, described Mrs Ogunsakin as a diligent worker who gave her best to the administration and the state.
Other officials in the delegation were the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Chief (Mrs) Moji Fafure; Chairman SUBEB, Prof Francisca Aladejana; Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Yinka Oyebode; and Senior Special Assistant to the Wife of Governor, Mrs Oluremi Babington.
The SSG who conveyed the condolence message of the state Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, to the family, said the late politician was a reliable and trust worthy patriot, who discharged every assignment given to her meticulously.
“We are here to convey the condolences of the Governor to you. The Governor is saddened over the unfortunate news of her death.
The government’s scribe who pledged government’s support for the family, urged them not to be discouraged but to be consoled with the fact she played her role well and left a good name.
The eldest son of the deceased, Mr Seun Ogunsakin, who received the government’s delegation of behalf of the family, thanked the Government and the first family for standing by the family during the trying period.
