PDP Confirms The Return Of Former Ekiti State Governor Segun Oni

After months of speculations, former Ekiti state governor Segun Oni has finally returned to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) following his exit from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to The Nation, this was confirmed by the PDP caretaker committee in Ekiti state. The opposition has also called on others such as the former Minister of Works, Senator Adedayo Adeyeye who left the party to return.

The caretaker committee while expressing delight at the return of Oni and his supporters, the PDP described the development as an incalculable boost to the party
Senator Hosea Agboola, the chairman of the committee, and Diran Odeyemi, the secretary on Monday, June 1, cautioned party members against any antics targeted at genuine reconciliation in the party.

Agboola, a former lawmaker representing Oyo North went on to note that every member of the party is recognized in the PDP. He urged those who wish to rejoin the party to do so freely without encumbrances.

“The fact that former Governor Segun Oni has just rejoined the PDP is the greatest achievement of this committee. We are going to reach out to former Minister of Works, Dayo Adeyeye and others who left before the July 14, 2018 governorship election and bring them back to the party,” he said
